Raktakanika: Connecting Lives through Blood Donation

Introduction:

Have you ever witnessed the desperate search for a blood donor by a relative or close friend when blood banks run out of stock? Have you experienced the heart-wrenching loss of a life simply because a donor was unavailable in the hour of need? It is a situation we can collectively prevent as a society. With this belief at its core, Raktakanika was founded.

The Birth of Raktakanika:

Raktakanika is an organization with a singular purpose: to connect voluntary blood donors and those in urgent need of blood through a common platform. In 2017, on August 31st, it originated in a small room in Dibrugarh, Assam, via Facebook, with a handful of dedicated voluntary donors driven by the zeal and energy to serve our society. Today, thanks to your support, our family has grown to over 16,000 members, and we have facilitated donations in more than 30 towns and cities. The driving force behind Raktakanika is its founder, Mrs. Himadri Gogoi Borah.

Our Mission:

Through our website, we strive to connect willing blood donors with those in dire need, providing prompt support in critical situations. Our mission is to fulfill every blood request in the country, uniting motivated individuals who are eager to donate blood with those who require it urgently. Additionally, we extend our helping hand to individuals seeking medical treatment outside Assam, supporting them during their challenging times.

Beyond Blood Donation:

While blood donation remains our primary focus, our foundation has also extended support during the severe Assam floods, providing essential necessities to affected communities. We have taken initiatives for tree plantation during our blood donation camps, fostering environmental consciousness. Furthermore, we have actively raised awareness about various social issues, aiming to create a positive impact on society.

A Call for Continued Support:

We hope that the support for our cause continues to grow, enabling us to achieve all our goals in the years to come. We urge you to spread the word about our vision among interested voluntary donors and emphasize how a single blood donation can save a life.

Conclusion:

Raktakanika is more than just an organization; it is a beacon of hope that connects lives through the act of blood donation. With your support, we strive to make a lasting difference and ensure that no life is lost due to a lack of available blood. Together, let us embrace the power of giving and inspire others to join our mission.

Thank you for your unwavering support.
